It’s gonna be hard to TOP – Kicks over Brunch AIR Edition! What a DOPE event for WOMEN. Kicks and Fros brought the whole who’s who of Sneaker Culture out in Atlanta, GA this past weekend. The location Terminus 330 located off Marietta St – has an event space- it was beautifully decorated. Cozy vibe. When I arrived – I was given my take home champagne glass that has etched Kicks Over Brunch – Air Courting a Legend.
The venue was personalized with Kicks Over Fros decor – such as pillows, wall decor, table arrangements and so much more. We had access to an open bar – Jason Markk had a sneaker cleaning station- complete with a 360 booth. I can’t dance but I had fun giving it a try. Many lounge areas- plenty of photo spaces. It was a Sneaker Event to remember.
We even had a yummy 4 course brunch. This wasn’t brunch LOL! This was giving ME – how you feed people that you LOVE. First course – Prosciutto and ricotta salad – served with a croissant – warmed vanilla yogurt – granola and berries. Second course – famous fried chicken and waffles – maple syrup. I was SO FULL – I could not even eat dessert, tooooooooo FULL – but there were 2 dessert options – cinnamon roll bread pudding and N2 nitrogen Ice Cream. I am telling you – this meant; I love you and I want YOU to be HAPPY and FULL when you are with me.
Melissa Chanel – founder of Kicks and Fros – had the amazing opportunity to have Q & A with Charlese Antoinette – costume designer for Air Movie – Charlese Antoinette shared her thoughts on having creative control throughout the movie and working with Viola Davis – she also shared her love and passion for sneakers. Shout out to Charlese for believing in herself and chasing her dreams.
These events are also so cool – catching up with current friends and meeting other women in the sneaker culture that you follow and are passionate about the sneaker journey like you!
Last but never least a crazy swag bag! Movie themed – candy for the movies – Air Movie sunglasses, I would say reminiscent of the movie time period- custom cookies- shoe laces…so many goodies.
Thankful for the invite to Kicks over Brunch – Air Edition. Such a DOPE way to CELEBRATE women – who love kicks. I love the quote from the movie – ” A shoe is just a shoe until someone steps into it.”
