The Campout Atl -a group is driven by a passion for sneakers but with a broader purpose of fostering an inclusive community. Anyone can join in the fun- you don’t have to be a sneakerhead.
The founders, @feetzntreatz, @dwillfromthesouf, and @jestdoit_go, are local sneaker enthusiasts, gamers, and good-hearted individuals who strive to positively impact the community. The Campout Atl organizes two monthly events, from game nights at Sole Play Atl to fun days at Piedmont Park. They are also planning to host events giving back to the community.
At their recent event, Game Changers, hosted by Be Social, The Campout Atl’s founding members introduced themselves and their mission. Attendees enjoyed food and drinks, networked with others, snapped cool photos, and of course, everyone rocked FLY sneakers! The event also featured a panel of local influencers who shared their expertise on growing social media, insight on boutique stores vs. corporate stores and the state of sneaker culture.
I’ve attended three of their events so far, and each time, I have felt a sense of inclusiveness and the ability to be myself. The vibe is always on point, and I’m excited to see what The Campout Atl has in store for the future. #DOPE
